PASS NorthThe Pro All Stars Series (PASS) takes its racing road show to northern New Hampshire on Sunday June 3 when all three PASS North touring series tackle the tough quarter mile known as Riverside Speedway.

The Groveton speed plant will host the touring pros after a one year hiatus and fans of the Super Late Model, Mod and Sportsman series are anxiously anticipating their return to the Connecticut river valley oval.

NHRA Drag RacingNearly two years ago, NHRA promised its legion of fans in the New England states that it would soon bring the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series – the fastest, most exciting form of motorsports on the planet – to that region of the country.

Today, NHRA made it official by announcing the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series will visit New England Dragway in Epping, N.H., for the inaugural NHRA New England Nationals, June 20-23, 2013. The announcement marks a process that began more than a decade ago when NHRA decided it wanted to stage an NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event in this region of the country. NHRA enjoys the most geographically diverse schedule of any of the major motorsports and the addition of New England only reinforces that position.

A special Memorial Day program went into the record books at Hudson International Speedway on Monday afternoon, with a full card of stock car and Enduro action entertaining the crowd on another perfect afternoon for racing.

Andrew Morin picked up the Thunder Light win over Nick Dombrowski to start off the day’s feature event activity, and the action got even tighter as the day went on. The New England V-6 Modifieds made their first appearance of the year on the high banks, and the open wheelers put on a terrific battle to the finish in their feature event.

PASS NorthCassius Clark made an early outside charge in Saturday nights Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North 150 to capture the lead and score the super late model feature win at White Mountain Motorsports Park. Joey Polewarczyk earned the second spot with defending series champion Johnny Clark third, DJ Shaw fourth and Travis Benjamin fifth.

The win was Clark’s first PASS North checker since the 2009 season and the fourteenth of his PASS North career.

Gary Smith and Travis Benjamin led the twenty six car field to the green and it was Benjamin jumping out to the lead with Joey Pole, Derek Ramstrom, Smith and Ben Rowe in tow. Clark was coming from his eighth starting spot and as the field strung out he rambled up the outside groove, putting his Hight Chevrolet out front on lap eighteen.

LEE USAMike Netishen became the third winner in the first three races this season for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodifieds at Lee USA Speedway, winning Friday night’s feature event by a comfortable margin.

For the second week in a row, the main event was stopped by an early red flag, this time for a lap three incident involving Mike Spurling and Super Dave Sanborn. The pair got together and slammed the backstretch wall, with Sanborn nearly flipping over, and both cars sustaining heavy damage in the wreck.

Hudson N.H. – Dean Wendell picked up his first Outlaw Sportsman feature win of the 2012 racing season this past Sunday May 27th. Todd Warren led the first half of the race before Wendell made it past him. It was Wendell’s race after that. Geoff Rollins also got past Warren and finished second while Warren held on for a third place finish. Kevin Kephardt was fourth and Peter “The Travelin’ Man” Fiandaca was fifth.

Hollywood Heliwell got his first Roadrunner feature win of the season. Nick Fisette was second in a car he bought a few seasons ago from Heliwell. Jen Lord picked another podium finish in third place. Read Full Article →

With high expectations, a lot of excitement and a pit full of cars, White Mountain Motorsports Park threw open the gates Saturday night for its first night ofcompetition in its 20th season of competition. With the Pro All Star Series Super LateModels in town for their first visit in 2012 and a huge crowd on hand for alate afternoon start, temperatures in the high 70’s the conditions were rightfor some fantastic action on the racetrack.

Qualifying got under way with the Lil’ Caesar’s Kids Truck Division, with the win going to Irasburg, VT’s Brandon Croteau in the #4 truck. The wins in the two Beacon Resort Strictly Stock qualifiers went to the#3 of Ray Eames out of Berlin, NH and to the #4 of Shane Sicard hailing from Barton, VT. In the Shuttle Connection Late Modelsit was Bernie Lantagne in the #3 from McIndoe Falls, VT and track championQuinny Welch in the #78 out of Lancaster. NH starting the year off withwins. In the Woodsville Guaranty SavingsBank Mini Stock division it was Whitefield, NH’s Ben Bellanger in the #99topping the field. The Avery’s Sweeping Tiger Sportsman division saw the return of former champion Thumper Griswoldfrom Bath, NH in the #77 taking the qualifying win.

granite state prostock seriesMike O’Sullivan etched his name into the Granite State Pro Stock Series record book by winning the David’s House 106 presented by Fenton Family Dealerships, the first race in the series inaugural season. O’Sullivan took home a $3,000 check for his effort.

O’Sullivan led a race high 33 laps from his tenth place starting position, seeing the lead for a two lap stint on lap 43 before he took the lead for good on lap 76. O’Sullivan benefitted from a rare mistake by veteran racer Bobby Cabral on a lap 75 restart, when Cabral spun his tires and lost control of his automobile.
