THE STORY

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – Emily Packard of East Montpelier, Vt., returns to her home track for a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 35-lap Late Model feature at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, June 1. Despite setting the fastest time in all three practice sessions on opening day at the track, Packard was caught up in an on-track incident and finished 13th on Saturday, May 18. Packard looks to rebound this weekend and climb back into track championship contention.

PASS RacingCHARLOTTE, NC (May 29) – For the first time this season, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Pro Late Models will be the featured division as they headline the First Citizens 200 Saturday night at Dillon Motor Speedway. The 4/10 mile, egg-shaped layout of the Dillon Motor Speedway is a tough challenge to even the most experienced racer and the competition is certainly aware of that factor heading into this weekend. In less than two years though, the PASS Pro Late Models has proven to be one of the country’s top divisions for racers looking to make the step up into a touring division. Already this year, drivers like Tate Fogleman, Cole Timm, Jody Measamer, and Karl Weber have shown glimpses of their potential in the PASS South Super Late Model division thanks in large part to their time racing with the PASS Pro Late Models.

monadnockWinchester, NH: This past Saturday, the weather dampened the spirits of the highly anticipated special event at the high banks of Monadnock Speedway. The track management announced due to inclement weather, the David’s House 106 featuring the Granite State Pro Stock Series would have to be postponed to Saturday, June 1st.

It was too cold and too wet for Memorial Day weekend, but the racing conditions were perfect on Sunday, May 26 at the Legion Speedway. The CMD Logging Trophy Dash almost didn’t happen at all due to spurts of rain all afternoon. In the end, instead of waving the white flag, track owner Si Allen chose the green and the racing began.

granite state prostock seriesWith the steady rainfall and a poor forecast, the Granite State Pro Stock Series was forced to postpone the second annual David’s House 106 until the following Saturday, June 1. Looking over the forecast that, for the second time in the month of May, forced every speedway in New England to sit idle, the GSPSS officials and the management at the Monadnock Speedway had to come up with another date that would suit both parties.
