Payea, Paya Celebrated at ACT Banquet of Champions

Waterbury, VT – Colchester’s Scott Payea and car owner Rick Paya, along with the rest of the RPM Motorsports team, were officially crowned the 2018 American-Canadian Tour (ACT) champions on Saturday, November 18. The 2018 ACT Banquet of Champions, held at the Capital Plaza in Montpelier, VT, celebrated all the top performers from the 27th season of competition for the ACT Late Model Tour.

ACT Releases 10-Race Schedule for 2019 Season

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced the 2019 schedule for the ACT Late Model Tour. The 10-race series with be held at six tracks throughout the northeastern United States and the Canadian province of Quebec.

ACT will be part of the season-opener for three different race tracks, helping all them bring on the new year with a bang. Other highlights include a number of big-money races and the return of one of ACT’s most historic events. (more…)

HICKORY, NC (November 10) –Derek Ramstrom took the lead for the final time with just over 30 laps to go and led the rest of the way to claim his first career Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win Saturday afternoon at Hickory Motor Speedway in the Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 200. While Ramstrom took the win, Derek Griffith finished second to capture the PASS National Championship Super Late Model title and third place finisher Matt Craig took his third straight PASS South championship.

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 31) – The longest season in grassroots, short track racing will come to a close on Saturday afternoon, November 10, when the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) National Championship Super Late Models take the green flag at Hickory Motor Speedway. The 13th Annual Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 200 will cap off another exciting season that began in Dillon, SC way back in February. And, it will all be captured in front of the MAVTV cameras. Last year, race fans across the country were able to see the ultimate North versus South shootout when North Carolina’s Brandon Setzer and Maine’s Garrett Hall tangled coming to the checkered flag.

Travis Benjamin wins PASS North finale, DJ Shaw successful in Super Late Model championship defense

Seekonk, Massachusetts – Travis Benjamin did all that he could do in his quest for a third Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model championship, winning the season-ending 150-lapper at Seekonk Speedway. A seventh-place finish turned in by defending champion DJ Shaw proved to be enough to hold off Benjamin’s rally in the title bout. It is the third PASS North Super Late Model championship for Shaw, his family team and chief supporters Julio & Rita Miglioli.

CLARKSBURG, Mass. (Oct. 22, 2018) – With more predictions of above normal snowfall being heard throughout the northeast this fall, excitement for the coming winter is already building.

Officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) announced an eight-race schedule for 2019 on Monday, filled with a mix of new and familiar venues in five different states. Teams will hit the snow in mid-January in New Hampshire and stay active until the season finale in late March in Massachusetts.

Busy Weekend Set For PASS North Finale At Seekonk Speedway

NAPLES, ME (October 24) – For the first time since 2010, the final race for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model season will be at a track other than Oxford Plains Speedway. On Saturday afternoon, New England’s fastest Super Late Models will complete for 150 laps at Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts, along with the Haunted Hundred for the Tri-Track Open Modified Series. It will be the first time PASS has held an event on the quarter-mile track at Seekonk since 2012.

21 drivers took the green flag Saturday, October 20th at the New-London Waterford Speedbowl with two men from Connecticut ending up on top. Ray Christian III of nearby Uncasville, CT battled Ben Rowe of Turner, ME side by side in the closing laps to win at his home track. Devin O’Connell of Madison, CT overcame early adversity and multiple trips down pit road to finish 16th with barley any body work left on the #43 to clinch the 2018 series championship.

“This is what we had circled, last year we came hear and ran really good, but we wanted to come here and win really bad.” Christian III said. “You can’t right a better story, [Crazy Horse Racing] has been like a second family to us, we just love those guys and we couldn’t have done it without them. Starting sixth on the field Christian III saved his stuff in the early going. Eventually battling with Ben Rowe for a multitude of laps Christian pulled away after Rowe’s car seemed to loosen up after a caution with 15 laps to go.
