Peltier Edges Rowe For 4th Easter Bunny 150 Triumph At Hickory
HICKORY, NC (April 15) – Preston Peltier survived a three lap scramble to the checkered flag to edge out Ben Rowe for his fourth Easter Bunny 150 win Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. Peltier’s seventh win at Hickory and 15th overall Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model win ended a two-year winless drought dating back to the 2015 Easter Bunny 150.
“Three to go when that last caution came out, I thought, oh man, here we go again,” said Peltier, driver of the Roger Newton Concrete Finishing Chevrolet #33. “My tires really weren’t the best there at the end, but I’ve got to thank Ben [Rowe] because he really could have used me up. It’s funny how life works out and right now, life’s pretty good.”

Strongest Field In Years Set To Tackle Hickory’s Easter Bunny 150 This Weekend
CHARLOTTE, NC (April 11) – The best short track racers from across North America will once again be descending on Hickory Motor Speedway this weekend as they seek to claim the checkered flag in the 12th Annual Easter Bunny 150. Super Late Model racers have flocked to the legendary speedway nestled in the North Carolina Piedmont since 2006. The “Bunny” has become an Easter weekend tradition for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and this year’s race has added importance. In addition to being part of the PASS National Championship Series, the Easter Bunny 150 will serve as a major tune up for November’s Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown 300, which will pay $15,000 to the winner. Likewise, fans of short track racing recognize the Easter Bunny 150 as one of the sport’s premier races, thanks in large part to the star-studded field of drivers the event attracts year after year.

Eddie MacDonald powered to victory in the Pro All-Star Series (PASS) opener at Thompson Motorsports Park’s Icebreaker on Sunday. As a result of winning the second qualifying heat on Saturday, Eddie Mac started the 75 lap feature from the outside pole position in the EXIT Realty Beatrice Associates/Grimm Racing Chevy and quickly established his dominance.
When the green flag waved, the Rowley, Mass. veteran racer drove to the lead exiting turn two from pole sitter D.J. Shaw on the first lap holding the lead until a lap 10 caution. On the restart, Eddie Mac spun the tires giving Shaw the lead until the next caution on lap 20 when the Dave Lemieux Chevy regained the lead with Eddie Mac saying, “I made a mistake on the previous restart, so I made an adjustment on the next one and I was able to get lead back. The car was really fast and once I had the lead I was able to use the power down the straights and the car handled great in the turns.”

Craig Prevails In Wild PASS Super Late Model Return To Orange County
ROUGEMONT, NC (March 25) – Matt Craig came out on top of a controversial last lap battle that saw both he and third finisher Preston Peltier slap the wall to win the 10th Running of the Orange Blossom Special on Saturday night at Orange County Speedway. Craig’s second straight Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win also guarantees him a starting spot in the 44th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine.

PASS South Title Contenders Prepare For Orange County Return
CHARLOTTE, NC (March 8) – As Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model racers from across the Carolinas prepare for the series long awaited return to Orange County Speedway on Saturday, March 25th, a great championship battle is heating up following the first two races of the season. Heading into the upcoming “Original” Orange Blossom Special, points leader Bradley McCaskill and former PASS South champions, Matt Craig and Tate Fogleman, are only separated by two points. As a matter of fact, the top 11 drivers in points only have 42 points between them.
Following his recent win in the Dogwood 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park, Matt Craig looks forward to the next stop for a number of reasons, including the opportunity to get a guaranteed starting spot in the 44th Annual Oxford 250 with a win and a shot at the $25,000 top prize come last weekend in August.
